For as much as I love words, Laura, when I first read this beautiful note of yours, I wrote my quick reply, then set your note aside until I could find phrases that could convey how much it meant to me. All these weeks later, I still haven't come up with anything dimensional enough, or that holds enough gratitude and joy over the holy kinship we share. Please read between these lines for more. Thank you, my God-given friend.
Oh, Laura. I'm so glad and thankful we've connected, and trust that our God made those introductions. Looking forward to the day we can meet face to face! Thank you, friend.
I found you on FaceBook, Cheryl, a few years ago, after reading a post, then a blog, then entering a contest for your last copy of the Gooseridge devotional. I'm usually not a follower or fan of many, but you snagged me with your phraseology and also your deep connection to God and His world. This was at the time Sugar Birds was being released, and I bought my copy. At that point, I began promoting you and Sugar Birds to my friends and on various places on social media. I guess when I pray for others, I want to be a part of their success. I pray somewhat like you, as I walk with the Lord, as I notice things in my friend's world and my church, in society and the world, I just talk with God about the things He reveals to me, celebrations, the sufferings, nature and science, and psychology. How can we not worship Him?
This newsletter wafted delight into my heart and mind today. Your prayer style description--besides being eloquently communicated--describes my prayer life, too. According to the quiz, I'm a friend of God. Oh, how I love that. It brings tears.
I was aware of Janet McHenry's new book but hadn't considered purchasing it. You changed my mind. It's on my wish list now.

Good morning, Joni! In the book the "praying life" she talks about sounds like yours!
Hope your week's a treasure.

We can be kindergarteners together, Carol! Friends of God? Takes my breath away—and returns it to me. 🧡 Janet's book gets it.
